Our PC building toolkit comes with holes in the bag and in the driver handles for easy mounting on standard pegboard hooks, keeping tools within reach. With so many of our team members accessing the same screwdrivers, we’ve learned that pegboard-mounting tools makes for fast organization that is easily restored when cleaning-up. All tools are custom-made for this toolkit. The goal was to focus on high-quality tools that have a long service life while also improving usability. These tools were selected for wide compatibility with PC component disassembly and common component tear-downs, making it easier to re-paste most partner model GPUs (check the included tools list for compatibility with your device), CPU coolers, and more.
The Modmat is not intended for use as a mousing surface or as an active test bench (isolate components under test from the mat, as it is anti-static conductive) and is most at home as a build surface. We made 3D models of tower cooler heatsinks, closed-loop liquid coolers, a motherboard, video card, their respective VRMs, memory modules, and an SSD, then accompanied them with our wireframe GN logo to build a unique, fully customized mouse mat for the PC enthusiast and DIY audience. The Wireframe Mouse Mat is approximately 36” x 12” (approx. 91cm x 30cm) and is printed with highly-detailed computer hardware components from a wireframe view.

If you ever need to take a multimeter to your cables to check for continuity or voltage, the GN Modmat will make it easy. Our Modmat includes a pin-out diagram for the terminating device-end of power supply cables, supplying quick reference material for 12V rails (for easy current clamping or monitoring), 5V rails, and jump start pins on the 24-pin connector. The ground point has a metal loop on the end that loops around the ground screw for a power faceplate, and the mat-side uses a female 10mm receptacle. Static electricity will be grounded through the wrist strap, dispersed through the inner layer of the mat, and grounded to the wall through the common ground point.
The zipper pouch is conveniently available for additional thermal pads, screws, or spare parts that you may want to keep with your tools. Component Repair Mat
We went the extra mile on validating the tools for quality, even custom grinding-down the exterior of the Hex 4.0 and 5.0 driver heads to allow clearance from small capacitors on the boards. Our toolkit also includes everything necessary for disassembly of AMD Radeon™ Vega 56 and 64 reference video cards. Being on the road has taught us the value of easily stowed and carried tools. The magnetization makes it easy to lift screws out of their threads once loosened, at which point they can be tracked on the GN Modmat grid. To reduce the chance of dropping screws into a re-assembled component, the GN toolkit comes with the metal tips pre-magnetized on 8 of the 10 tools.
